The High-Risk, High-Reward of Moving

This month has been one of a lot of change, while everything seems to also be staying the same. My day job paying the bills is the same, working at an IT firm in downtown Chicago. My current acting status is the same, not actively seeking auditions at this moment. My current city, Chicago, is the same.... but then things are ripe for change!

My boyfriend and I are moving into a new apartment next week. Same city, different neighborhood! I've loved living in the Edgewater area. I've been in the same apartment since I moved to Chicago to be with one of my best college mates, Anne Walaszek (who is doing remarkable work in the theatre community, having her work produced in store fronts, working behind the scenes on theatre development and production, costuming, and now even working at Lookingglass; she's an inspiration), and never had a reason to move. My boyfriend, Michael Cadville, though... he's recently moved to the city, and looking for all it has to offer. So, we decided to spice things up and get a place in Lakeview, a block away from adult grindings (both the nightlife and things like groceries), and close to both popular buses and the Red Line. As an actor, singer, and dancer, he needs that kind of easy access to transportation just as much as I do.
