The Actor
Larger Than Life. Grounded in Truth.
I’m a Chicago-based actor drawn to characters who command attention, conceal contradictions, and reveal more humanity than their first impression promises. I enjoy playing across a wide theatrical range: from psychologically guarded men and morally complicated authority figures to unapologetically larger-than-life characters (shout-out to every Shakespearean mechanical!). Whether a character enters with quiet control or bursts into the room demanding to be seen, I want to find the honest, recognizable person underneath the performance they present to the world.
What I Bring to the Room
I arrive prepared, but not finished. Preparation gives me something meaningful to offer on the first day. Rehearsal gives us the opportunity to test it, deepen it, complicate it, or discard it when the production discovers something better.
I enjoy detailed notes, difficult questions, and directors who ask me to move beyond my first instinct. I am comfortable with rigorous text work, collaborative exploration, physical experimentation, direct audience engagement, and necessary failure.
I also care about the production beyond my individual role. I want to support my scene partners, protect the storytelling, and help create an ensemble in which every performer can do their strongest work.
I take the work seriously without believing the room must always feel serious. Play is part of the process. So are mistakes. Some of the best discoveries happen when everyone is willing to make a bold choice, let it fail, laugh, and try again.
Most importantly, I try to be someone people are glad to have in the room.

Theatre is collaborative by nature. That's why I love rehearsal rooms built around preparation, curiosity, generosity, specificity, and play. Whether the work calls for psychological restraint, heightened language, dangerous charm, broad theatricality, or the honesty of simply listening and allowing the moment to land, I want to find the human need that makes the character live. I am interested in new plays, classical work (especially Shakespeare), literary adaptations, psychological drama, horror, comedy, and roles that allow theatrical scale and emotional truth to strengthen one another.
