I'm a Chicago-based actor, director, and playwright who believes theatre is one of the few places where strangers can gather in a room and leave understanding each other just a little better.

I grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisconsin. Somewhere between long days outside and an imagination fueled by fantasy novels and old monster movies, I fell in love with stories. Theatre simply became the best way I knew how to tell them.

These days I spend my time wearing a few different hats. Sometimes I'm in the rehearsal room as an actor, searching for the heartbeat inside a character. Sometimes I'm directing, helping artists discover the strongest version of a story together. Other days I'm at my desk adapting classic literature or writing original plays that explore the uncomfortable space between what people say and what they truly feel.

No matter the role, I'm chasing the same thing: honesty.

I'm drawn to stories about people trying—and often failing—to connect with one another. The monsters that interest me most aren't vampires or werewolves (though I certainly enjoy those); they're guilt, regret, ambition, loneliness, love, and the quiet lies we tell ourselves in order to make it through another day. Those ideas have led me everywhere from Victorian London to Grimm fairy tales, from haunted castles to apartment stairwells, but they always seem to arrive at the same destination: relatable people facing impossible choices.

Outside the theatre, you'll probably find me playing DND, shooting pool, or catching Pokémon (ask me about my Pokédex project!).

If that sounds like the kind of room you'd enjoy creating in, I'd love to meet you, and I hope our paths cross!
